My Astrophysics and Solar Physics research is important to the development of Thermonuclear Fusion on Earth, nuclear fusion being the process that powers the Sun and most stars in the universe.
Thermonuclear Fusion research is being undertaken in order to produce clean, carbon free, environmentally friendly power generation in the future and thereby addressing the demand for energy requirements Worldwide.
Working with the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and collaborating on research internationally.
